The use of variables on system or trading partners can be verified by double-clicking on the variable and then on **Instances**.((depending on how the variable can be assigned)

However, if you want to know whether a variable is used in a mapping or job, proceed as described in [[en:transformation:mappings:verwendungsnachweis]] and/or [[en:transformation:mappings:funktionen:verwendungsnachweis]].
