{{:images:sign_warning.png?nolink|}}**During online activation**, the eBiss service accesses **port 80** of wss.pranke.com. If this access is not possible from the computer running the eBiss Service, e.g. due to firewall restrictions, the offline activation can be selected alternatively. 

{{:images:sign_warning.png?nolink|}}**Note:** eBiss 3 licenses are usually hardware bound and allow 5 hardware changes by default. 

If this no longer matches, corresponding tasks are created and this is displayed on the UI. The following server properties are stored in the license:

  * computer name, 
  * Serial Number
  * Total physical memory
  * Number of Cores
  * Number of Logical Processors

Up to eBiss version 3.4.218 the license was linked to:

  * MAC address
  * of the CPU info identifier
  * Hard disk identification 


{{:images:sign_warning.png?nolink|}}**Note:** When installing version 3.4.219 or later, no license update is required. The change of the license becomes effective only, 
if the license is activated with version 3.4.219, or a later version This means that eBiss will continue to run after an update to the 
new version and a hardware-bound license.
