EDIFACT read component
The EDIFACT read component can handle all EDIFACT formats and can be parameterized as follows:
| Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | A name of your choice. |
| character encoding | The standard expected coding. |
| detect character encoding | If the coding of the messages to be read is variable, select Yes. |
| Type of the read component | Class names of the read component. |
| Ignore unknown UN/US segments | If the messages to be read have unknown segments, i. e. segments that are not defined in the object class, Yes must be set here. Otherwise, tasks are created when reading. |
| Oversize Handling | How to react to texts that are too long: Shorten the text on the right or on the left, the default case is an abort with an error message (Task). |
Note: Character encoding may vary depending on the sender of the message. To enable reading of different character encodings, the setting Recognize character encoding can be set to Yes.
